Programme Overview
The Design Engineering with Sustainability MSc combines engineering design with sustainability-driven product and manufacturing development.
Students study design theories, product development, computer-supported modelling, analysis, rapid prototyping and sustainable manufacturing.
The curriculum examines environmental constraints, legislation, standards, alternative materials, resource efficiency and circular approaches to product design.
An industrial group project allows students to address practical design challenges for external organisations.
Strathclyde identifies aerospace, automotive, energy, manufacturing and engineering consultancy among relevant graduate sectors.
Entry Requirements
Normally a first-class or second-class honours degree, or international equivalent, in a relevant engineering, technology or science discipline.

Faculty of Engineering International Scholarship: £6,000 for eligible applicants. Dean's International Excellence Awards: £9,000 to £12,000 for selected exceptional postgraduate taught applicants.
