Programme Overview
The MSc Design Engineering with Advanced Product Development develops advanced capability in product design and engineering-development processes.
Students study engineering design, product development, digital engineering, innovation and project-management techniques.
Practical work develops the ability to translate customer and technical requirements into engineered products.
Students undertake multidisciplinary industrial projects and an individual MSc project.
The skills are transferable across automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, transport and other engineering industries.
Entry Requirements
Applicants normally require a first-class or second-class honours degree or international equivalent in engineering, product design or another relevant technical discipline.
Applicants from closely related backgrounds may also be considered.

Faculty of Engineering International Scholarship: £6,000 for eligible September 2026 international Master's students. Dean's International Excellence Awards: £9,000 to £12,000 for selected exceptional postgraduate applicants.
