The Advanced Materials Engineering MSc develops theoretical and practical expertise across modern materials engineering.
Students study materials science, industrial metallurgy, engineering composites, advanced materials and manufacturing processes.
The programme explores how material behaviour, processing and manufacturing affect the performance of engineering systems.
Students benefit from Strathclyde's links with the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland and Advanced Forming Research Centre.
An individual research project may be industry-sponsored or connected with active materials research.
Entry Requirements
Normally a first-class or second-class honours degree, or international equivalent, in engineering, materials science or physical sciences.
Equivalent relevant professional qualifications may also be considered.
