The Advanced Manufacturing: Technology and Systems MSc prepares students for modern manufacturing and production-engineering careers.

Students study manufacturing automation, micro and nano manufacturing, strategic technology management, advanced materials and production technology and advanced forming systems.

The programme combines technical manufacturing knowledge with engineering management and systems perspectives.

Students undertake industrial group work addressing real company challenges as well as an individual MSc research project.

The programme is relevant to aerospace, automotive, advanced manufacturing, materials and engineering-technology industries.

Entry Requirements

Applicants normally require a first-class or second-class honours degree or international equivalent in a relevant engineering or science discipline.

Faculty of Engineering International Scholarship: £6,000 for eligible international Master's applicants starting in September 2026. Dean's International Excellence Awards: £9,000 to £12,000 for selected exceptional applicants.
