Job Description
The Wire Installation Engineer will support Boeing’s Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers division, primarily the VC-25B programme. Opportunities may also support P-8, tanker and E-7 aircraft. The engineer will develop aircraft wiring and equipment-installation designs while ensuring compliance with electrical, safety, environmental and manufacturing requirements.
Responsibilities
• Develop electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs.
• Design equipment racks, power panels, antenna installations and cable routing.
• Create and maintain wire-harness installation definitions.
• Define physical and functional separation requirements.
• Analyse electrical and mechanical interface requirements.
• Support production, modification and aircraft-integration activities.
• Resolve installation discrepancies and develop engineering dispositions.
• Participate in design reviews and system-verification activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing and aircraft-systems teams.
• Maintain configuration-controlled drawings and engineering records.
Eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant experience appropriate to the Associate, Experienced or Senior level.
• Ability to meet United States export-control requirements.
• Ability to obtain a United States Secret security clearance.
• United States citizenship is required.
