Job Description
The inspector supports Boeing Test and Evaluation by inspecting tooling and monitoring fabrication processes. The role verifies that jigs, fixtures and other tools comply with engineering drawings, material specifications and production procedures.
Responsibilities
• Inspect tool-fabrication processes.
• Verify tooling against drawings and specifications.
• Conduct periodic tooling inspections.
• Interpret physical and digital engineering definitions.
• Operate precision measurement equipment.
• Use laser trackers and 3D measurement software.
• Document inspection results and nonconformances.
• Coordinate corrective action with tooling and engineering teams.
Eligibility
• Relevant tooling, fabrication, machining or quality-inspection experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance requiring U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to work on-site in Berkeley.
• Employer visa sponsorship is not available.
