Job Description

The mechanic supports Boeing defence manufacturing by producing and maintaining tooling used for fabrication, assembly and engineering tests. Work includes precision machining, material selection, assembly and dimensional verification.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate production and assembly tooling.
• Build and maintain engineering test fixtures.
• Install and modify jigs and production equipment.
• Select and work with applicable tooling materials.
• Interpret drawings and tooling specifications.
• Operate machining and fabrication equipment.
• Verify tooling dimensions and alignment.
• Repair damaged or worn tooling.
• Coordinate with tooling-design and production-engineering teams.

Eligibility

• Relevant tooling, machining or fabrication experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Experience using precision measurement instruments.
• Ability to work safely with industrial fabrication equipment.
• Ability to satisfy Boeing employment requirements.
• Be able to work on-site in Hazelwood.
