Job Description

The Tactical Software Engineering Manager leads teams developing real-time, near-real-time and embedded mission-system software. The manager oversees personnel, technical execution, Agile delivery, DevSecOps adoption, programme risks and coordination with customers and engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage multidisciplinary tactical-software teams.
• Oversee development of embedded and real-time software.
• Establish technical priorities, schedules and work assignments.
• Support Agile planning and delivery.
• Track cost, schedule, quality and technical risks.
• Promote DevSecOps and modern software practices.
• Coordinate with programme leadership, customers and regulatory organisations.
• Develop team members and conduct performance-management activities.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Active US Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance after starting.
• Ability to obtain Special Access Programme access.
• At least one year of leadership or substantial cross-functional programme-management experience.
• At least one year managing or leading software teams.
• At least three years of real-time, near-real-time or embedded-system experience.
• At least one year working with or leading Agile teams.
