Job Description
The engineer will join Boeing Phantom Works and support a proprietary Air Dominance programme. The position focuses on highly integrated communication, navigation and identification avionics. The engineer will translate operational requirements into system architectures, hardware and software specifications, manage complex datalink integration and verify that mission systems meet functional and performance requirements.
Responsibilities
• Use Cameo and model-based systems engineering to translate requirements into system architectures.
• Develop hardware, software and interface specifications.
• Design and integrate complex datalinks, navigation systems and communication networks.
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct modelling, simulation and engineering trade studies.
• Define and perform system testing and validation.
• Monitor suppliers for technical performance and requirements compliance.
• Resolve integration problems involving hardware, software and aircraft interfaces.
• Provide programme budget, schedule, work-statement and status inputs.
• Research emerging mission-system and avionics technologies.
Eligibility
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or another directly relevant technical discipline.
• At least nine years of related professional experience with a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to meet United States export-control requirements.
• Ability to obtain a United States Secret security clearance.
• United States citizenship is required for the security clearance.
• Employer will not provide employment-visa sponsorship.
