Job Description

Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking a senior flight-systems engineer specialising in guidance, navigation and control, navigation systems and inertial sensors. The role supports spacecraft requirements definition, architecture, analysis, verification and system integration.

The engineer will work across flight software, avionics, mission operations and hardware-in-the-loop test environments. The position also includes technical leadership, mentoring and coordination across propulsion, structures, software, avionics and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage spacecraft navigation and inertial-sensor requirements.
• Perform guidance, navigation and control system analysis.
• Support system architecture, design verification and validation.
• Integrate navigation hardware with avionics and flight software.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop laboratories and spacecraft testbeds.
• Develop mission-operations inputs and anomaly-response strategies.
• Lead technical tasks and mentor less-experienced engineers.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is required.
• Typically requires nine or more years of relevant experience.
• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must be able to obtain Top Secret/SCI security clearance after starting.
• Must satisfy Boeing’s conflict-of-interest and drug-free workplace requirements.
