Job Description
The Nondestructive Test Technician uses ultrasonic and radiographic methods to evaluate aerospace structures without damaging them. The technician follows controlled inspection procedures, interprets technical information and records inspection results supporting product safety and quality.
Responsibilities
• Conduct ultrasonic and radiographic inspections.
• Prepare components and equipment for testing.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and inspection instructions.
• Evaluate inspection indications against acceptance criteria.
• Record results and maintain inspection documentation.
• Support equipment calibration and reference-standard control.
• Report defects and assist with corrective actions.
• Follow radiation, workplace and material-safety requirements.
Eligibility
• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal and documented NDT training or military-equivalent experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Ability to work first, second or third shift.
• Ability to travel approximately five percent when required.
