Job Description
The Materials, Process and Physics Technical Analyst applies extensive nondestructive-evaluation experience to inspection systems and processes. The role supports composite ultrasonics, penetrant, magnetic-particle, eddy-current and emerging inspection technologies.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain NDE processes and procedures.
• Support manual and automated ultrasonic inspection systems.
• Evaluate composite structures using pulse-echo, through-transmission and phased-array techniques.
• Support eddy-current, penetrant and magnetic-particle inspection.
• Develop and fabricate inspection reference standards.
• Investigate equipment and inspection-process problems.
• Support qualification of inspection methods and personnel.
• Communicate technical information to engineering and production teams.
Eligibility
• At least six years of nondestructive-evaluation experience.
• Education and experience appropriate to Level 4 or Level 5.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
