Job Description
The Equipment Engineer supports Boeing programmes in Mesa by managing production, laboratory and material-processing equipment throughout its lifecycle. The role defines equipment requirements, supports procurement and installation, conducts acceptance and qualification and investigates reliability or process problems.
Responsibilities
• Define requirements for manufacturing and laboratory equipment.
• Evaluate equipment against material and process requirements.
• Develop equipment specifications and technical documentation.
• Support supplier selection and equipment procurement.
• Coordinate installation, commissioning and acceptance testing.
• Qualify equipment for production and laboratory use.
• Investigate equipment failures and recurring reliability problems.
• Develop preventive and corrective maintenance requirements.
• Support safety, ergonomic and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with materials, manufacturing, facilities and production teams.
Eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an applicable engineering or technical discipline.
• Relevant equipment, manufacturing, asset or process-engineering experience.
• Ability to develop and interpret technical equipment specifications.
• Understanding of manufacturing and material-processing equipment.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance requiring U.S. citizenship.
