Job Description
The Lead Wire Design and Installation Engineer will join Boeing’s Space and Launch Wire Harness Engineering Group. The engineer will develop detailed wire-harness designs for commercial and government satellites, space vehicles and ground systems. The position includes electrical schematic validation, routing and installation design, system integration, configuration management and technical leadership.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain wire-harness detail, assembly and installation designs.
• Establish cable routing, connector, support and separation requirements.
• Coordinate electrical and mechanical requirements with other engineering teams.
• Validate schematics using engineering tools, calculations and design reviews.
• Support system design, integration and verification across several platforms.
• Develop interface-control documents and integration plans.
• Troubleshoot system-level electrical and wiring problems.
• Participate in test planning and system-performance validation.
• Maintain configuration and engineering-change documentation.
• Mentor engineers and lead wire-harness technical priorities.
Eligibility
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or another directly relevant technical discipline.
• At least five years of wire-harness, electrical or mechanical-design experience.
• At least three years of experience leading technical projects or teams.
• Ability to obtain a United States Top Secret or SCI security clearance.
• United States citizenship is required.
