Job Description

The Composite Fabrication Specialist manufactures aerospace composite parts and assemblies using controlled layup, cutting, forming, bonding and finishing processes. The specialist follows engineering drawings, material specifications and detailed work instructions while safely handling specialised tools and chemical materials.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and tooling for composite fabrication.
• Perform conventional composite-material layup.
• Cut, form, bond and finish composite components.
• Read and follow drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Operate hand, pneumatic and precision-measuring tools.
• Inspect work for dimensional and process compliance.
• Handle controlled chemicals using required protective equipment.
• Document completed manufacturing operations.

Eligibility

• Ability to work first, second or third shift according to business requirements.
• Ability to satisfy the physical requirements stated on the official vacancy.
• At least one year of manufacturing, technical or mechanical experience.
• At least one year following detailed work instructions and interpreting drawings.
• At least one year of manufacturing, fabrication or assembly-process experience.
• Ability to work safely with high-hazard chemicals and protective equipment.
