Job Description

Support Spectrolab’s manufacture and development of high-efficiency space solar cells. The engineer improves semiconductor processes, reduces production cost and cycle time and supports research into advanced photovoltaic materials and devices.

Responsibilities

• Develop semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Improve solar-cell production performance and yield.
• Conduct material characterisation and process analysis.
• Support research and development of new photovoltaic technology.
• Reduce process cycle time and product cost.
• Perform statistical process-control activities.
• Investigate process deviations and material failures.
• Document experiments, results and recommendations.

Eligibility

• Bachelor of Science in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
• At least one year of semiconductor-processing experience.
• Meet U.S. Person export-control requirements.
• Be legally authorised to work without visa sponsorship.
• Be able to work on-site in Sylmar, California.
