Programme Overview
Strathclyde's BSc Software Engineering develops the knowledge and skills required to design and build large, complex software systems.
Students study programming, algorithms, databases, logic, software architecture, web technologies, artificial intelligence and security.
A compulsory 12-month paid industrial placement between Years 3 and 4 provides substantial professional software-development experience.
Students also complete practical development projects and an individual final-year computing project.
The degree is accredited by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
