Programme Overview
TU Delft's MSc Computer & Embedded Systems Engineering provides advanced education in the design of computing systems in which hardware and software operate together as an integrated system.
Students study computer architecture, embedded hardware, embedded software, system engineering and advanced computing technologies.
The programme develops the ability to design and analyse complex embedded and high-performance computing systems while considering performance, reliability, energy efficiency and hardware-software interaction.
Embedded systems are used across sectors such as aerospace, automotive, robotics, telecommunications, medical technology and intelligent devices.
The programme consists of advanced coursework, engineering projects and a Master's thesis, allowing students to specialise in areas related to computer engineering and embedded systems.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should hold a recognised Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems or a closely related engineering or technical discipline.
Applicants should have strong academic preparation in mathematics, programming, digital systems, computer architecture and related electrical or computer engineering subjects.
Applications are evaluated individually by TU Delft to determine whether the previous degree provides sufficient preparation for the MSc Computer & Embedded Systems Engineering curriculum.
Applicants with an international Bachelor's degree must meet TU Delft's current academic, documentation and English-language admission requirements.
Admission is competitive and meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.

Equivalent TU Delft-approved English-language qualifications may also be accepted.

Scholarship Information
TU Delft offers competitive scholarship opportunities for outstanding international Master's students. Justus & Louise van Effen Excellence Scholarship Two scholarships are available per faculty for excellent international MSc applicants. The scholarship provides full tuition fees per year based on the student's applicable TU Delft tuition category together with a contribution toward living expenses. For the 2027–2029 academic period, the official scholarship application deadline is 1 December 2026 at 23:59 CET. Applicants must submit a complete MSc application together with the required scholarship documents by the scholarship deadline. Additional faculty-specific and external scholarship opportunities may also be available.
