Job Description
The Wind Hub Technician supports safe and reliable renewable-energy generation by conducting daily turbine inspections, scheduled maintenance, technical troubleshooting and corrective repairs across sites within the Idaho Falls wind hub.
Responsibilities
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning electrical and mechanical components.
• Diagnose turbine electrical, hydraulic and mechanical problems.
• Conduct diagnostic electrical analysis.
• Inspect turbines and identify emerging maintenance requirements.
• Document all work through computerized service-reporting procedures.
• Communicate with site leadership and GE Vernova’s remote operations centre.
• Follow environmental, health, safety and quality requirements.
Eligibility
• High-school diploma or GED.
• Relevant wind-technician, wind-mechanic, electrical, mechanical or hydraulic experience as specified by GE Vernova.
• Ability to pass the required technical knowledge assessment.
• Valid driving licence.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to climb wind-turbine towers and perform physically demanding field work.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and on-call schedules.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
