Job Description

This senior software-engineering position supports the Skunk Works vehicle-management software team. The engineer develops reusable software for aircraft subsystems and contributes throughout design, coding, integration, laboratory testing and aircraft field testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop software controlling aircraft subsystems.
• Translate system requirements into software designs.
• Produce modular and reusable software components.
• Integrate software with aircraft hardware and other systems.
• Conduct laboratory and field testing.
• Diagnose defects and implement corrective changes.
• Support technical reviews and software documentation.

Eligibility

• Relevant bachelor’s degree with professional software experience.
• Ability to work at Lockheed Martin’s Palmdale facility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required security access.
• Experience with structured software-development processes.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
