Job Description
The Senior Digital Manufacturing Process Engineer will establish advanced virtual-build and digital-manufacturing practices across Rivian’s automotive operations. The engineer will connect product design, manufacturing planning and physical production by creating digital process-validation methods. The role supports early identification of manufacturing risks, improved equipment and process planning and more efficient vehicle launches.
Responsibilities
• Establish standard methods for virtual builds and digital manufacturing.
• Develop digital representations of manufacturing processes and production sequences.
• Evaluate vehicle and component designs for manufacturing feasibility.
• Identify assembly, accessibility, tooling and ergonomic risks before physical builds.
• Coordinate digital-manufacturing activities with product and manufacturing engineers.
• Support production-line planning and new vehicle-programme launches.
• Create repeatable engineering workflows, standards and documentation.
• Analyse digital-build results and recommend process or product improvements.
• Support integration of product data with manufacturing-planning systems.
Eligibility
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant experience with digital manufacturing, virtual builds or manufacturing-process planning.
• Understanding of automotive product-development and production-launch processes.
• Ability to coordinate complex technical work across product and manufacturing teams.
