Job Description

The engineer owns tyre development within the chassis organisation, balancing vehicle dynamics, durability, efficiency, noise, safety and production requirements.

Responsibilities

Define tyre and tyre-wheel assembly requirements.

Lead tyre design, sourcing, development and validation.

Plan and conduct laboratory and vehicle testing.

Analyse handling, durability, efficiency and noise performance.

Coordinate development with tyre suppliers and internal vehicle teams.

Support production approval and final engineering sign-off.

Eligibility

Relevant mechanical or automotive-engineering qualification.

Extensive tyre, chassis or vehicle-dynamics experience.

Knowledge of tyre design, construction and manufacturing.

Experience conducting vehicle and laboratory validation.

Ability to travel for supplier and vehicle-test activities.
