Job Description

The engineer converts real-world vehicle data and operating cycles into powertrain test requirements that demonstrate component and system durability.

Responsibilities

Analyse vehicle-use data and powertrain duty cycles.

Develop component and system-level accelerated tests.

Correlate laboratory tests with real-world vehicle operation.

Define validation loads, profiles and acceptance criteria.

Investigate powertrain durability and reliability issues.

Collaborate with design, test and systems-engineering teams.

Eligibility

Relevant mechanical, automotive or systems-engineering qualification.

Experience with powertrain analysis or validation.

Understanding of mechanical loads, durability and accelerated testing.

Ability to analyse large engineering datasets.

Knowledge of vehicle systems and duty-cycle development.
