Job Description

The Senior Tooling Engineer develops equipment used to manufacture and assemble Radiant’s microreactor. The engineer works with design and production teams to create reliable, practical and safe tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design manufacturing and assembly tooling.
• Develop tooling for reactor fuelling and refuelling.
• Perform mechanical design and structural analysis.
• Produce engineering drawings and specifications.
• Select and manage tooling suppliers.
• Support fabrication, installation and qualification.
• Resolve manufacturing and tooling issues.

Eligibility

• Relevant mechanical or manufacturing engineering degree.
• Significant tooling or production-equipment experience.
• Proficiency with mechanical CAD and engineering drawings.
• Experience moving tooling from design into production use.
• Ability to work completely onsite in El Segundo.
• Eligibility to work with US export-controlled technology.
