Job Description

The engineer creates industrial automation and control systems for Radiant’s reactor manufacturing operation. The position integrates mechanical equipment, sensors, actuators, PLCs, safety systems and test hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design automated production and test equipment.
• Develop PLC, HMI and motion-control systems.
• Select sensors, actuators and industrial-control hardware.
• Integrate electrical and mechanical production equipment.
• Commission and validate automation systems.
• Troubleshoot production and controls problems.
• Develop control-system documentation and safety interlocks.

Eligibility

• Relevant electrical, controls, mechanical or automation engineering degree.
• Significant industrial automation experience.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, motion systems and industrial equipment.
• Ability to commission automated equipment onsite.
• Ability to work completely onsite in El Segundo.
• Eligibility to work with US export-controlled technology.
