Job Description

The Process Engineer will support production of Rivian electric drive units and improve manufacturing quality, equipment availability and process efficiency. The engineer will develop standardised processes, analyse production data and investigate assembly problems. The position also supports engineering changes, equipment commissioning and the launch of future drive-unit programmes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering changes and new production-programme launches.
• Analyse statistical production data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Select appropriate materials, tooling, equipment and labour processes.
• Develop work instructions, standardised work and process-flow documentation.
• Work with design engineers to improve products for high-volume manufacturing.
• Commission and optimise drive-unit assembly equipment.
• Perform time studies, staffing analysis and production-line balancing.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and automated production equipment.
• Investigate assembly problems and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor quality indicators and lead continuous-improvement initiatives.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least one year of high-volume manufacturing experience is preferred, including internship or cooperative experience.
• Ability to support second or night shifts when required.
• Hands-on understanding of mechanical, electrical, automation or robotic production equipment.
• Strong written communication, teamwork and creative problem-solving ability.
