Job Description

The Mid-Level Material Review Engineer serves as a liaison between Wichita maintenance, repair and overhaul operations and designated engineering representatives. The engineer evaluates non-conforming structures and develops technically substantiated repairs covering metallic, welded, non-metallic and advanced-composite components.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between maintenance operations and service engineers.
• Review structural and material non-conformances.
• Develop and substantiate aircraft repair designs.
• Interpret maintenance documents, drawings and specifications.
• Support Material Review Board activities.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering initiatives.
• Develop improvements to manufacturing and repair methods.
• Initiate approved design and process changes.

Eligibility

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• At least five years of engineering experience.
• Ability to coordinate between Wichita MRO and designated engineering representatives or service engineers.
