Official Mid-Level Level 3 range. Spirit also publishes a Senior Level 4 range of USD 115,750–177,500 per year.

Job Description

The Material Review Engineer evaluates aerospace manufacturing non-conformances and develops approved repairs for machined parts, sheet-metal structures, welded assemblies and advanced-composite components. The role also supports the introduction of new materials and repair processes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate non-conforming aircraft parts and structures.
• Develop repair designs and engineering dispositions.
• Perform repair substantiation.
• Interpret drawings and aircraft-maintenance documents.
• Support Material Review Board decisions.
• Coordinate with production, design and quality teams.
• Develop improvements to repair and manufacturing methods.
• Initiate design and process changes.

Eligibility

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• At least five years of engineering experience.
• Approximately ten years of related experience for Senior Level 4.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate across production and engineering teams.
