Job Description

The principal engineer develops solid rocket motor solutions for next-generation aerospace vehicles within Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.

Responsibilities

Research and design solid rocket motor components.
Analyse propulsion, thermal and structural performance.
Develop propellant, nozzle, ignition and thrust solutions.
Perform FEA and CFD-based engineering studies.
Plan and support propulsion-system testing.
Lead technical reviews and cross-functional collaboration.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree or higher in aerospace, mechanical or a related engineering field.
Approximately 15 or more years of relevant propulsion or aerospace experience.
U.S. citizenship required.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
