Job Description
The field engineer conducts commissioning, inspection, maintenance, repair, retrofit and upgrade activities for HVDC and FACTS installations at customer sites.
Responsibilities
• Commission HVDC and FACTS equipment at customer sites.
• Conduct inspections, testing and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical, control and communication problems.
• Support repairs, retrofits and system upgrades.
• Prepare field-service documentation and technical reports.
• Coordinate with customers, engineering and quality teams.
• Follow project safety and technical procedures.
• Support outage and lifecycle-service activities.
Eligibility
• Electrical Engineering or related technical degree.
• Foundational knowledge of power electronics and high-voltage systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical procedures.
• Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites.
• Strong technical problem-solving and communication ability.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
