Job Description
The Maintenance Supervisor assigns and oversees aircraft-maintenance work performed by lead technicians and maintenance technicians while ensuring compliance with planning instructions, company procedures and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
• Assign technicians according to maintenance work packages.
• Coordinate resolution of aircraft-maintenance problems.
• Monitor mechanical status and return-to-service estimates.
• Ensure technicians receive appropriate training.
• Verify availability of parts, tools and equipment.
• Review maintenance documentation for completeness.
• Record delays in the maintenance system.
• Maintain a safe workplace and prevent foreign-object damage.
Eligibility
• High-school diploma or GED.
• Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
• Three years of commercial-aircraft maintenance experience.
• Aviation-management or JetBlue technician experience.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge.
• Ability to perform strenuous work around aircraft.
• Legally authorised to work in the United States without sponsorship.
