Job Description

The Receiving Inspector certifies that aircraft components and materials entering JetBlue’s system are serviceable, traceable and compliant with engineering controls, airworthiness directives and company requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect engines, APUs, landing gear, tooling and materials.
• Sign airworthiness releases for accepted components.
• Check compliance with directives and engineering controls.
• Identify defects, damage and suspected unapproved parts.
• Verify technical and certification documentation.
• Confirm that components come from approved sources.
• Classify parts as serviceable or unserviceable.
• Support Aircraft Records and Compliance teams.

Eligibility

• High-school diploma or GED.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate or equivalent receiving-inspector experience.
• Two years of aircraft-parts receiving experience.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and data.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to handle heavy components.
• Legally authorised to work in the United States without sponsorship.
