Job Description

The engineer develops the production capability for specialised high-voltage film capacitors. These components form a critical part of Fuse’s pulsed-power infrastructure for fusion-energy research.

Responsibilities

• Commission a high-voltage capacitor manufacturing line.
• Develop repeatable fabrication and assembly processes.
• Qualify equipment, materials and suppliers.
• Establish manufacturing controls and acceptance tests.
• Investigate production defects and implement corrective actions.
• Improve production quality, capacity and reliability.

Eligibility

• Relevant manufacturing, electrical or materials engineering experience.
• Practical experience producing high-voltage film capacitors.
• Knowledge of manufacturing-process qualification and quality control.
• Ability to work onsite in San Leandro.
• Ability to satisfy US export-control requirements.
