Job Description
The Maintenance Controller is JetBlue Technical Operations’ central interface with Dispatch and the System Operations Center. The position coordinates unscheduled maintenance and aircraft recovery while monitoring fleet status and airworthiness.
Responsibilities
• Monitor aircraft systems and address in-service discrepancies.
• Coordinate unscheduled maintenance under JetBlue procedures.
• Serve as Technical Operations’ focal point within the operations centre.
• Develop recovery plans for out-of-service aircraft.
• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, dispatch and flight teams.
• Administer deferred-maintenance processes and repair tracking.
• Record maintenance-related delays, cancellations and interruptions.
Eligibility
• High-school diploma or GED.
• Five years of aircraft-maintenance experience.
• Five years of heavy-transport aircraft experience.
• Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
• Ability to work flexible day and night schedules.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
