Job Description

Lead complex projects supporting GM’s EV battery lifecycle and recycling strategy. The engineer will coordinate internal functions, recyclers, logistics providers and suppliers to develop closed-loop systems, waste-management programmes and design-for-recyclability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead battery and broader materials-recycling projects.
• Develop closed-loop recycling supply chains.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget and risk.
• Evaluate suppliers, recyclers and logistics providers.
• Prepare technical requirements for lifecycle requests for quotation.
• Develop battery pack, module and cell sustainability plans.
• Establish design-for-recyclability requirements.
• Support lifecycle business cases and recycling communications.

Eligibility

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Approximately five or more years of relevant professional experience.
• Project or programme-management experience.
• Knowledge of waste, recycling or dangerous-goods requirements.
• Experience working with suppliers or regulatory agencies.
• Must possess US work authorisation without GM sponsorship.
