Software Engineer I: USD 120,000–135,000. Software Engineer II: USD 135,000–160,000. Equity may also be offered.

Job Description

The engineer builds hardware-facing software for Antares’ first-of-a-kind microreactor. The software processes telemetry, executes commands, controls experiments and supports simulation, test and reactor-operation environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop reactor data-acquisition and telemetry software.
• Implement command handling and system-state management.
• Develop fault detection, containment and recovery behaviour.
• Integrate sensors, instruments and custom electronics.
• Build software for simulations and hardware-in-the-loop systems.
• Create automated tests and technical documentation.

Eligibility

• Relevant computer-science, electrical-engineering or software-engineering education.
• Professional software-development experience appropriate to the assigned level.
• Interest in hardware-facing and safety-sensitive software.
• Ability to work onsite in Los Angeles.
• Ability to satisfy US export-control requirements.
