Job Description

The intern will work with GM environmental professionals to apply sustainable solutions across manufacturing and non-manufacturing facilities. The programme provides practical experience in environmental compliance, zero-waste initiatives, inspections, reporting and projects that reduce operational environmental impacts.

Responsibilities

• Support zero-waste projects.
• Assist with air, water and waste compliance reporting.
• Conduct environmental-compliance inspections.
• identify process improvements that reduce environmental impacts.
• Support wildlife-habitat and community-outreach initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, regulators and facility teams.

Eligibility

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering or Sustainability.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and May 2029.
• Available to work 40 hours per week.
• Able to work at an assigned GM location.
• Must not require present or future immigration sponsorship from GM.
